                                        International Women's Day 23 Celebrated in Muscat


National Christian Council Oman held its maiden program of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2023 in Muscat, OMAN. The program was called to order by the MC of the evening NCC Professionals Wing President Ms. Unice, who made a lively presentation of the program to one and all.

Speaking the opening note the NCC Oman President Mr. Amar Viplow said that Women are very key in the society as they are creators, give birth and sustain the humanity. He reminded that vision 2040 of OMAN is attracting many Women along with men into the nation building of Oman. He reiterated that we are committed as NCC Oman to see the involvement of Women in the development of Oman in all spheres, especially economically to be a stronger nation by developing the women power in Oman.

Mr. Ali of the Shining White Galaxy has welcomed the gathering to the warm hospitality of Oman. And he assured that any activities for the development of Oman, for empowering women and other sectors to do better in either their lives or businesses, Shining White Galaxy will be always there to cooperate and to encourage.

Oman based Genetics scientist Dr. Mariyam shared her journey of her life and reminisced how she had got full support of her husband and that from her region of the North she is the first female Doctor. She said that there is so much grandeur given to women in the culture of Oman and that we should be committed to their development and progress.

NCC International Professionals Wing President Dr. Aaren Vedangi an international presenter of Genetics in many scientific fora had briefed with a power point about her specialty and how the research and her work is addressing over 6000 deficiencies in the genetics and finding to address these deficiencies for a better future. She said woman is already a leader wherever she is. At home, at work and in all spheres she is a leader and the environment of her to be succeeding to be given and supported by all.

National Vice President Rev. Brighty Beulah greeted the audience on behalf of the Founder President, National President and National General Secretary and all the Executive Members of 28 States of India and Wings. She outlined her activities in brief as to how God has enabled her as a woman to make a difference in the lives of Children with Special Needs in India and also teaching VBS and other children related camps and meetings. She said that educating a girl is educating a generation and assured that NCC is committed to the empowering of women in all spheres in Oman and in all other countries too.

Several eminent women that made a mark in their field were honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation from NCC, A Memento and were presented with a Shawl to recognize their contribution to the society. They included: Dr. Mariyam, Dr. Aaron Vedangi, Pastor K. Sheba Jehu, Rev. Brighty Beulah, Ms. MK Unice, Dr. MK Prapulla, Rev. Rani Greeta Deva Latha, Ms. Sridevi, Ms. Adbutha Dona Srujana, Ms. Esther Chandra Leela, Dr. Sylvia Clement, Dr. Soujanya Mohanti & Ms. Prasanna Kumari

There was cake cutting and wishing each other all other women a Happy Women’s Day. The meeting started with singing of spiritual songs by Pastor Sheba Jehu and other local children and ended with singing of thanks to the God that cared for us so far and that will carry us forward in the shadow of HIS wings.

The meeting ended with Vote of Thanks by NCC Oman Treasurer Dr. MK Prapulla followed by fellowship Dinner. The program though was organized in a short span of time it was such a blessing to all that participated and the theme of NCC to be United to Serve the society without a difference of caste, creed, religion, nationality and race was warmly received by all the participants in this meeting in Muscat.
