Celebration of life and ministry of Legendary Leader George Verwer by NCC

It was a solemn time of praise and worship to the Lord as various leaders remembered different significant qualities of life of George Verwer.

The meeting was Chaired by NCC National Secretary General Mrs Sylvia Jaideep. Rev Victor Das NCC Delhi & NCR President opened the meeting by prayer. National Vice President Mr. Caleb D. Kenny shared the overall global impact of George's leadership and how God used him to be a global missions leader. Various other leaders shared their experiences of his influence like Bro Paul Singh from USA shared how George looked out for him at all times to encourage him. NCC Founder President Dr Sam Paul shared that George had a deeper spiritual impact on him and that many of the leadership skills were learnt by hearing, reading and by direct fellowship with George. Bro Bidar Devadas highlighted how Bro George was keenly in fellowship with Hebron Assemblies and with Bro Bakth Singh during the start of OM India. He also said that it should have been a wonderful time in heaven as Dr Billy Graham, Bro Bakth Singh and Bro George Verwer could have met now.

National Vice President Rev Brighty Beulah shared the commitment of George to Bibles distribution and to the distribution of books and how that inspired many around the world Mrs. Amy Keith from USA shared on how Prayer was an important part in George's ministry and that he influenced all teams to always to pray for the World. NCC West Bengal President Rev. Emmanuel Singh shared the huge burden of George for World Evangelism and reminded that when there were difficulties for him to come to India that Dr Sam Paul worked with Delhi to get his name cleared.

NCC Maharashtra State President Mrs Alice Lobo shared that though she has never met Bro George physically, she could see and experience many of the leadership qualities and his vision in the NCC leaders.

Several praised the Lord for George's life and all prayed for Drena Verwer and for the legacy of George's leadership to continue on They prayed for Vera Zembramski and all other leaders that were closely working with George for their comfort and strength.

The meeting was closed with prayer and benediction by Bro Bidar Devadas.
